Got Wounded By Dog. Got A Shot Of Anti Rabies. Will My Daughter Be Ok After Second Shot?
my daughter got injured on her middle finger due to an unintended dog fight. she was there when another dog attacked the other dog that she's with and got wounded. she's 15 y/o now the last time she got a shot of anti rabbies was when she was about 2 to 3 years old. Tomorrow I will take her to the doctor. will she be okay if she will have that second shot of anti rabbies?

I advise you to do first aid for the wound like washing with soap water and under running water.
Give Tetanus toxoid if she is not updated for it.
She has to take anti rabies vaccine complete schedule of 5 injections on 0, 3, 7, 14, and 28 th day to get complete protection.
She will be ok if she receives the complete vaccine schedule as per the doctor advise.

Since it has been about 12 years since she has taken rabies vaccination,she needs to get complete vaccination as per schedule that id 0,3,7,14 and 28.
S I suggest you to be in touch with pediatrician and complete her vaccination.
TT will not be required if she is update regarding all vaccines.

If there is a history of complete vaccination for your kid then only post exposure prophylaxis of less number of doses are required.
If you are doubtful of previous vaccination then complete the entire course of 0.3.7.14.28
