General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi Madhuri ! Good evening. i am Dr Shareef, a general surgeon answering your query.

If I were your doctor, I will go for a biopsy under local anaesthesia of a single swelling presumed to be lipoma for confirming the diagnosis. Multiple lipomatosis as it is known as is a benign condition, and very rarely it might cause any pressure symptoms. Mostly it might cause a cosmetic problem, and in that case you might consider for its removal from the exposed parts of your body if need be.

On the PCOD, please continue the medications as advised by your gynaecologist after a fresh review. Also please get a thyroid function test done to exclude any thyroid deficiency.

There is no particular diet responsible for your condition. However, I would advise you to go for a high roughage and enough of liquids with low salt intake and an active life style with moderate exercise programme within your medical limits.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
