Going For Complete Thyroid Removal, Will Lead To Weight Gain. How To Reduce Weight After Removal?
I'am going to have my whole thyroid removed in a few days.. I'am just so upset because if you look online all is talks about is weight gain. I don't need to gain anymore weight I need to lose weight. Is there any chance that I can lose weight after having my thyroid out. If so what do I need to do to help my self lose it. I will do what ever it takes.

You did not mention the indication for total thyroidectomy.
IF thyroid is removed,you will be kept on Thyroxine hormone tablets daily.
Your T3,T4 and TSH will be monitored regularly.
Patients with hypothyroidism gain weight.
So,even though your thyroid is removed,because of hormonal replacement you will not gain weight.
Nothing to worry.
Just relax and prepare for surgery.
