Getting Itching, Burning, Smelly Discharge And Peeling Skin In Vaginal Area. What Is Causing This?

Hello, I m a 17 year old female and I wanted to know what s going on with my body? I m getting itching, burning, discomfort, smelly discharge , and skin peeling in my vaginal area. Some sites say that it might be a yeast infection , but the symptoms didn t include the skin peeling. Other sites say it may be due to stress or an allergic reaction , but the symptoms didn t include smelly discharge. Help? :(

Hai,
Welcome to HCM.
Have you any sexual contact?
If is so the problem is different. If you don't have any sex contact, It may be due to Yest infection, which produce discharge, itching and burning sensation. If the discharge is smelling, there may be secondary infection or poor hygiene or STD.
SKIN PEELING, ITCHING, burning ,discomfort may sometimes be due to other skin diseases which could have occurred anywhere in the body.
So you better to consult a genito-urinary physician or a dermatologist and get treated under their guidance.

Hello dear

You certainly have vaginitis (infection of vagina). For treatment you have to take oral antibiotics. Your doctor will prescribe those for you.

You have not mentioned whether you are sexually active. If you are then use a condom as it protects from STDs and other genital infections too.

Get well soon.
