Fluid Discharge From Leg. Rod And Screws Inserted After Hip Fracture

My friend female over 65 says her leg( which had rod and screws placed after hip fracture) is oozing fluid over her ankle...not swollen, just oozing clear fluid.. I told her to call her doctor ! She likes to be dramatic and suffer for a while.

Discharge from a know site of implant suggest implant infection and possibility of osteomyelitis also to be Considered and ruled out. I advise you to consult a orthopaedic Surgeon at earliest for further management.
Take care
