Flu Like Symptoms, Joint Pain, Sore Throat. History Of Having Unprotected Sex With Stranger. Dna Pcr Results Negative. Should The Test Taken On 28th Day Again?

I had unprotected vaginal sex with lady unknown on 27 jun 2013 .i had flu l.ike symtom exactly on 10 july i had tested for dna pcr (not viral load) on 11 july which came negative.but the lab person told me that test needs to be taken on 28th day. Flu like feverish joint pain was there for a day but sore throat and white from 12 july mouthstarted from date

I think the symptoms you have mentioned may be related to sexually transmitted infection.BETTER TO HAVE SCREENING FOR THEM.If needed antibiotic therapy is prescribed by your doctor after diagnosing the actual cause.And about the viral load yes you need to take the test again as it might not detect in the early stages.Thank you.
