Fizzy Tongue, Blocked Sinuses, Stuffed Ear And Head, Tingling In Ear With Low Hearing Power, Taken Piriton. Suggestion?
Hi - not sure how to explain this however; over the last few weeks I have been suffering from what i can only call as a fizzy tongue which in turn has caused my sinuses to become blocked to the point where my left ear and head is completely stuffed up. It feels like my ear needs to land after a flight. My right ear has since started tingling too. I went to the pharmacy who suggested sudafed , which i started yesterday, things do seem to be moving a bit but the hearing is really poor. I have also today taken a piriton as I feel it maybe due to the change in weather and fields/grass being cut. I dont have asthma or allegies of any kind (so far) but we have just got a puppy! Should i go to my GP and could i be allegic to the new puppy? thanks

sinuses are only allergies you can be allergic to anything at any time
you get xray done pns waters view
for time to reduce post nasal drip of sinuses you take metrogyl 200 mgm bd
tab montair fx twice daily
cap moza plus morning
syp tossex 1/2 tsf night
syp mucaine gel 2 tsf tds
do for 10 days and then go for treatment of sinuses to prevent recur
you get xray done pns waters view

Your symptoms are not related to allergy and you do not have history of allergies either. Your symptoms are more of sinusitis. I will suggest you to consult your GP and have an X-ray PNS done as early as possible. You are sensitive to changes in weather and your problems can be due to acute cold. Decongestants can relief you of the symptoms temporarily.
Steam inhalation can be of much help to you. Boil some water in a pot, keep it on a table, open the lid. Cover your head with a towel. Now try to inhale steam through one of your nostrils while keeping the other closed. Exhale through the other nostril. Repeat this process at least twice a day for a week or 10 days and you will get permanent relief from stuffed head and blockage that you are experiencing.
You have to continue taking the oral medications prescribed by your GP. Do not neglect the problem as chronic sinusitis takes much time to get cured. Your hearing will improve with medications and steam inhalation. Enjoy good health. Take care.
