Fell Down Stairs, Bruising On Lower Back, Unable To Sleep, Discomfort On Moving. Treatment?
I fell down about 8 stairs last night the bruising appeared right away on my lower back,i was in a lot of pain right away.I couldn t move properly, i didnt get much sleep last night becuase i couldnt get comfortable and it would not stop hurting.when i got up this morning and it s still the same pain as last night and I still can t move properly. What should I do?
You should go to an orthopedic surgeon and get yourself clinically evaluated.
AP and lateral view of X Ray needs to be done of your lower back.
It might be simple muscle pain.Or there may be fracture of vertebra or disc prolapse. There may be injury to spine as well for which MRI would be needed... Are you having problem in moving your legs ?
For pain you can take AceclofenacParacetamol combination tablet and local application of diclofenac gel.But it is better not to self medicate but to get advice from your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
