General & Family Physician Dr. Ramesh M.Vachharajani's  Response
Hi,
If pain is dull aching on left side it may be due to constipation,
If pain is there on lower back and coming in front in lower abdomen it may be due to renal colic,
In female it may be due to some infection in genito urinary tract infection.
So evaluate your case by your doctor.

Do I have GERD? A few weeks ago, pain suddenly arose in my chest after experiencing what felt like 4 (about) skipped heart beats. After going to the hospital, an X-Ray , ECG , and blood test were done, and everything was normal. A doctor suggested it could be a joint or muscle in the my chest (left side) because there was (and remains) physical pain when pressing down on it. However, I have heartburn and pain in my upper abdomen. There is occasionally throat pain and an cough due to what feels like some sort of liquid in my throat. Feeling my lower left rib there is pain at the touch as well. I ve stopped taking caffeine because my heart beat felt as though it was going to explode out of my chest at any moment, which I experience without caffeine as well.

I have severe pains in my lower abdomen, both sides, but mostly left and lower back. I had severe pain and nausea after eating oil. I ve also had stabbing pains in rib area, indigestion, heartburn and dizziness. What can cause this? My father had to have his gallbladder taken out. Could that be it or kidney problems? I feel worse when I eat and can t digest foods.

For the past two years, I ve been getting what I thought were urinary tract infections. While being treated for that, my symptoms would be better, but not gone all the way. The symptoms I m referring to is the following: When I have to urinate, my left side hurts by the top half of my ribs. The pain goes into my chest. When my side hurts, that s how I know I have to urinate. Sometime the urination has a bad smell. I don t feel the tinkling in my stomach anymore when I need to urinate, only an uncomfortable feeling in my side, and chest. My doctor passed away in August, and I now have no insurance. Please help!
