Feel Balance Is Off, Taking Bisoprolol HCTZ 5/6.25 Twice A Day. Could This Be Affecting My Balance?
I feel my balance is off; I don t make any sudden moves and turn around quickly, as I have the sensation that I will fall down. I am taking Bisoprolol HCTZ 5/6.25 twice a day. Could this be affecting my balance? My BP was under control with this medication. It may have been a little high at some point, when my PCP advised me to take a dose at night as well as in the morning. Could it be too much now?
The Nervous system side effects of Bisoprolol include Fatigue, DIZZINESS, VERTIGO, Headache etc. These are seen in 1-10% of patients receiving Bisoprolol. So, your symptom of losing balance may be attributed to Bisoprolol intake.
Generally, these minor side effects are self limited and you will get used to it or they will fade off over a period of time. If it is too troubling, consult your treating physician either for a change in medicine or for a dosage adjustment.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
