Experiencing Discomfort & Pain In The Middle Of Sternum

Hello Dr. Narasi,

I am experiencing discomfort and mild pain in the middle of my sternum when I swallow.. almost as though it has something blocking my food and liquids passing with ease. I am a 34 year old female and have never had issues with heartburn or GERD, etc.. your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Kindly,

Jessiey

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that this could be hyperacidity problem you said that you never have a heartburn or GERD but I tell you that if you do not have the history of acidic problem then this does not mean that this may not occur ever, in my pinion better try the proton pump inhibitor and the best choice is "Omeprazole" have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
