Experiencing A Lot Of Gas, More Frequent. Is It Normal?

good evening Dr. Grief. This question is in reference to passing gas. The question is I am a 52 year old man that is in excellent health but, lately I have been experiencing a lot of gas. My diet hasn't changed. However, my girlfriend is convinced my gas is increasing more frequently and she also expressed a slight odor to them. I see no issue and believe its normal. Any thoughts?

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Passing gas is a normal phenomenon.
But if the frequency is increased or if it is foul smelling, it may indicate infection or malabsorption.
Get stool test done to rule out infection.
Take Beano or simethicone for relief from flatulence.
