I had a liver serroses and my tests normal but blood test shows low platlets 35000 and hp11,8 I had last bleeding in 2009,aug during last year Ramadan. My Question can I fast ramadan this year and I feel it too long day and hot weather and I am afrade from geting bleeding again this year.

fasting wont induce G I bleeding but yes it would possible push you into hepatic encephalopathy and hepato renal syndrome.
you need to think bout your nutriton first. being a cirrhotic patient you have to be very careful in many regards

its not that easy to look into the nutrition just talking on the net. there are lots of factors to look into it and we have to consider even your hepatic status and the cause of its cirrhosis.

From my liver function test every thing is normal and cause of cirrhosis is HCV as indicated by hospital note.
but blood hep. profile ..anti-HCV negative hbsag negative
liver piopsy not done yet...

Thank again this year we are in fasting month but I did not fast as last year advice to consider fasting , My health is same no change in all tests accept hb.12,3 but platlets remains at 45000 , Overall health is good and I had altra sound is normal.

If you have any advise for the platlets.

I wish to thank again this is one year pased without bleeding and my health is very good , tests are all ok accept platlets 45000 and HB12,4
Altra sound normal ,enlarged spleen and slash galbleder.
