Ear Infection, Fluid In Ear, Burping Problem. Treatment?

Hi, I am a mother of three. My youngest is 15 month old son. He is the first to have an ear infection out of my kids and at the same time he is having problems burping. He still has fluid in his ears that is no longer infected, but seem really bother by his ears and gas thru out the day. I can hear him gurrgle when he gets help burping, I give him over the counter gas relieve and he seems to get excited when he sees it coming. When I don t give it to him, he sits on the couch rocking to try and help himself burp. What can I do to help him???

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
I would suggest that you do not give any over the counter gas relief medication to your child. These medications are not meant for children. Further, I think the best would be for you to burp him well after every meal. You need to put him against your shoulder and rub his back ( from up to down) for atleast 5 minutes. Also, it would be best if you give him small amounts to eat through the day.
Hope this helps.
Regards
