Done With Sonography, Can Any Online Doctor Help Me Read The Report?

My sonography reports shown change of grade 1 bilateral renal parenchymal disease and Borderline Hepatomegaly.I am 57 year young, I have no hi BP no Diabetes.My s.creatinine-0.88,Blood Urea-21.8 mg/dl,total Protein-7.1,S.Albumin-4.2,Uric Acid-2.50.SGOT/AST-19.88,SGPT/ALT-18.40. what is this.

Hi,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic,

Your Ultrasonography showed renal parenchymal disease it means that the kidney has lost part of function.

It simply means that both kidneys appear more dense than normal. Generally, this means that scar tissue has replaced normal kidney tissues

Good thing is your Kidney functions are normal at present as serum creatinine level is normal(.88mg%).
High blood pressure and diabetes can also cause this disease.
In your case if there are no other abnormality then a repeat Sonography after sometime would confirm the renal disease.
Treatment for Bilateral Renal Parenchymal Disease aims at delaying the development of Kidney Failure and alleviating symptoms.
Please visit a Nephrologist and at present your problem appears at initial stage and proper medical follow up should help you.
