Does Tobacco Chewing Cause Urticaria And Angioedema?
Hi, I'm currently dealing with chronic urticeria and angieodema. My mother in law seems to think that it's the chewing tobacco that I've started using recently in Lue of smoking. I know it's not a safe alternative to smoking, but it helps with my urge to smoke. My question is, can chewing tobacco be the cause of my urticaria and angieodema?

yes, and that's a really really bad symptom. those are the type of IMMEDIATE HYPERSENSITIVY REACTIONS that are due to HISTAMINE and also associated iwth THROAT CLOSING UP AND SUFFOCATION. a potential problem.
