Does Specks Of Blood During Vomiting Indicate Pneumonia?

Hi! I hope you could help me. My daughter was hospitalized 2-3 months ago due to pnuemonia. The main symptoms was bad cough to the point of specks of blood in mucus and vomit. She has recovered since and we got cleared as well from the post-hospitalization check-up (ie, x-ray was clear and no more cough). However, couple of days ago, she vomited. She wasn t coughing very badly but she vomited with what I think were specks of blood - dark brown in color. Should this still be related to pneumonia or something else altogether? Should I be worried?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
In pnumonia blood usually coughed out in sputum and not present in vomiting. Blood in the vomiting seen in gastric ulcers, liver issues etc. So both are different things. And usually pneumonia is not a causes for blood in vomiting. In my opinion you should first consult gastroenterologist and than pulmonologist. Get done upper GI scopy for GI cause.
