Does Right Foraminal Encroachment By The Disc Indicate Surgery?
I got a mri say mild to moderate right lateralizing disc herniation at L5-s1, compressing the right s1 nerve within the spinal canal. There is right foraminal encroachment by the disc, resulting in right L5 nerve root compression. Have not seen doctor yet does this mean surgery for me.
Hi, From repoet it shows that you got slipped disc problem. Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. Physiotherapy, short way diathermy and lumbar traction will be much helpful. If there is no improvement then surgery is only alternative. ok and take care.
