I was prescribed clindamycin phosphate vaginal cream on Thursday for bv. Today would ve been my third dosage but I noticed I had heavy vagina bleeding. I thought maybe it might have been my period, but it would ve been 8 days early. Last month, my period did last for 4 weeks. I looked up the side effects of the cream online and it says Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: pain when you urinate, lower back pain, menstrual problems, abnormal vaginal bleeding.A very small amount of this medication may be absorbed into your bloodstream and may rarely cause a severe intestinal condition (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea) due to a resistant bacteria. Should I seek immediate medical attention? Should I continue using the cream?
