Discomfort In Left Ear, Took Zyrtec, Flonase, No Help. Little Dizzy. Any Suggestions ?

Hi! I am having trouble with discomfort in my left ears for several weeks. Saw a Nurse Practitioner. She prescribed Zyrtec and Flonase which I used for 2 wks. with no improvement. So a PA. she said there was still fluid present. she gave my a Cortisone shot and prescribed Mucinex D which I am only able to take once a day (keeps me awake) , continue the Flonase once a day and Amoxicillin for 1 wk. to prevent an infection. It seemed to help for about a week but now coming back. The discomfort is there and I notice a little dizziness or nausea with certain movements at times. None of this is over bearing but I am getting ready to fly to Alaska from Oklahoma and am nervous about what will happen on the plane. do you have any suggestions?

you have discomfort in left ear, took Zyrtec, Flonase, no help. history of (she gave my a Cortisone shot and prescribed Mucinex D which I am only able to take once a day. It seemed to help for about a week but now coming back.)
These all finding suggestive of secretory otitis media. some basic treatment with medicine necessary such as Chew gum with Xylitol, Ballooning and auto inflation.

Thanks
