Hi I had went to the hospital recently for BV and they had prescribed me flagyl, ibuprofen , and tramadol. The pain I was having before I went was I was having sharp shooting pains go through my pelvic area and it hurt to lay down and sit down. But ever since i have been taking the meds I have had diarrhea and it hurts my anus to poop. I also have a rash and am bleeding. Would you know what these are?

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that the diarrhoea is a side effect of the flagyl. This is one of potential side effects of this drug. The anus can sometimes hurt in episodes of diarrhoea because of the frequent stooling and wiping which can produce minor excoriations.
You should consider dabbing instead of wiping, this may reduce the discomfort.
Blood in the stool can also occur.

The rash may indicate an allergic reaction to one of the medications.

You may want to consider revisiting your doctor for alternative treatment of your BV.

I hope this helps
