Diagnosed With A/F , Brother Has Brugada Syndrome. Could I Possibly Have Brugada Syndrome And Not A/F?

I have been diagonised with A/F , firstly the doctors thought I had asma. I have recently found out that my brother has Brugada syndrome. Could I possibly have Brugada syndrome and not A/F. I was on Sotalol and 1 asprin, now I have been put on Atenolol 50mg 1 tablet per day and 1 asprin per day.

Hello!
Thanks for query.

Brugada is transmitted as autosomal dominant pattern.
Hence chances are high that you may have brugada syndrome.
Brugada patients may get atrial fibrillation.

Hope this solves your query.
