Hi,
Thanks for your question.
If there is no other cause for infertility, apart from being overweight & PCOD then by attaining normal Body Mass Index, you may have normal periods & natural fertility.
If this alone is not helpful, you may need other medications to ovulate & to conceive.
Best of luck.

Hello, Nisha .
PCOD is a most common disorder in young female .
I will try to explain what are the sign and symptoms of PCOD so that you can understand that , why you are obese ( fatty).
Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease or Syndrome as popularly known as PCOD.
There are ,
1 Raised level of androgen or testosterone .
2 alteration in L H / F SH ratio
3 acne & hirsutism
4 OBESITY ( WEIGHT GAIN ) without any reason
5 Dysfunctional uterine bleeding or irregular bleeding or scanty menses or amenorrhea
6 ULTRASOUND finding arteric follicles with increased ovarian stroma.
Now you note down that weight gain by you is due to PCOD.
Now your query is that you want pregnancy by next year.
I would like to advise you get pregnancy as soon as as possible .
Consult another Gynaecologist and get his opinion and treatment for PCOD .
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.
Dr. HET
