hi
thanks for choosing hcm,
yes you may get a good grip over your glucose levels if you lose weight
body mass index i.e weight for height is more important,go for bmi calculator available on few websites, type bmi in google you get it

remember your bmi should be less than 25,if you are having >25 bmi check how much you need to lose to reach 25

yes diabetes is a disease that runs in families
may be that is one of the reasons you got it
sorry to upset you,but yes there are chances ,your daughter may become diabetic but may not always be

but remember blood sugar should be checked 2 hours after food, immedite post lunch even a normal one has high blood sugar levels

and confirmatory test is HBA1C
and fasting blood glucose is more reliable
reconfirmation is more important, when first time you get high level

see to it that your daughter donot become obese
give good and balanced diet for your kid
make exercise part of your life for both you and your kid too

educate her about hazards of diabetes, make her health conscious but dont over stress her with your tensions

let her enjoy the childhood that never comes back again

take proper medication, under the guidance of your doctor

glucometers used at home have slight variations compared to real levels
dont completely rely upon them
confirm with your doctor

feel free to contact me for further queries
thank you
