Developed Trigger Finger In Ring Finger., Painful. Should I Splint Finger At Night? What Type Of Splint Should I Use?

Hi, I have developed what my Doc says is trigger finger in my ring finger. I start lifting free weights with my hand in a curled position which I think caused it. I am a 55 yr old female. I wake up with my finger curled painfully in and have to massage it open. Should I splint the finger at night? And what type of splint should I use? Thanks!
