Developed Scar On Upper Lip After Hot Waxing. What Can Be Done To Remove The Scar?
Hello Doctor,
Last week I had my upper lip waxed by a professional Who used chocolate wax. While pulling out the hair I presume she pulled out the skin. She wiped the wax off with oil and applied aloe vera gel over it. Initially it was red, burning and stinging. Few hours later it formed a brown layer. I used burnol over it thinking it was a burn, it just dried my would more causing peeling. I was then suggested to apply neosporin which helped heal the wound but there is a light scar. Please let me know if this scar will remain permanent or I can do something to fade it out. It been a week now. Kindly help

Hello Reema,
If it is a light scar,you could use a lightening agent to make it disappearalso use a sunscreen every 4 hours as any mark on the face will darken with sun exposure.
You can consult your dermatologist who will prescribe a cream contain lightening agents depending on the intensity of the mark. You could also do spot peels to hasten the process.
