Dark Stool And Swelling In Hands And Feet After Taking Iron Pills. What Could Be The Reason?
a Man that is 84 years just started iron pills. Now his stools are black. his hands and feet have been swollen about 1 week . his dr. is a nut . told me if it come back to take him for blood work. he just seen the dr. on 11-14-13.

Due to taking Iron tablet stool is going to come black.
Nothing to worry.
Swelling on hand and feet can be due to severe anemia but it is safe to consult your doctor to rule out another problems causing this problem.
