Could The Spotting On The Underwear Be Due To The Breaking Of Hymen?

hey im 22 years old and i have a boyfriend who never actually insert his penis inside my vagina because i would like to keep my virginity for marriage. but we do dryhumping once in a while with my panties on and somehow it gets a little rough and at one time i asked him to go harder so he put a little more force at my vaginal area and i feel pain and asked him to stop. then i noticed a stain of blood on my panties. did i actually break my hymen???? i m so afraid that i lost my virginity.. i checked using the mirror and googled the position of hymen but i feel uncertain.. the area is definitely on the bottom part of the lip of vagina (right on top of it) and it looks more like a split.. i can t stretch too much when i pee because it hurts.. this had been going for 3 days now.. did i really lose my hymen?? help u can help me im so scared if i lose my virginity

Hi,

According to your history, there is less possibility for rupture of hymen. As the genital area contains high blood supply, there is possibility of spotting due to friction or minor injuries to local tissue.

This will usually subside soon without the need for medication. As there is no direct intercourse the possibility of rupture of hymen is very less.

Hymen presents inside the vaginal canal covering the opening, but usually it will contain some slit or gap to allow the menstrual flow and other secretions.

So possibly what you have observed is normal hymen only and no need to worry regarding this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
