Could The Menstrual Bleeding For 8 Weeks An Indication Of Cervical Or Ovarian Cancer?

Hi, I have had menstral bleeding for 8 weeks now. My periods have always been irregular, not never for this long. I have a history of hpv and my last pap was abnormal. My gyn did another test where he sent some cells off to the lab, and they came back not normal but also not worthy of any other procedures at that time. Now, I have been bleeding for the past 8 weeks. Im going to make another appt with my gyn, but Im wondering if ths is indicative of cervical and/or ovarian cancer???

Hello ma'am qnd welcome.

It is not possible to comment on this as of now, as we can only assume. But I am guessing the bleeding could be from some fragile lesion caused due to HPV and may be not due to cancer as such. But then again, as I said, we cannot comment on this without investigations and proper visualization.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
