Could The Bleeding In Nostrils Be Due To An Cut In The Artery During Dental Implant?
I had two heavy (and I mean "heavy") nose bleeds over the weekend. This could be from blood thinners interacting with taking the wrong vitamins or.... ten years ago, an oral surgeon accidentally cut an artery in my left nostril/sinus while working on a dental implant. I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and given the most painful procedure in my life (the doctor explained to save my life). I spent 6 days in intensive care and during that time was taken to the operating room for more surgery. I managed to stop the bleeding in the incidents over the weekend. I'm supposed to have a test today for my heart - running on the treadmill and they will be taking pictures of my heart. What do you think??
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you are taking blood thinners and at times after taking blood thinners for long durations or taking high doses of blood thinners can lead to spontaneous bleeding or haemorrhages and you need immediate medical assistance... It can also be due to rise in blood pressure also can be age related in case of old age it takes more time for blood to clot.. As you also have a history of injured artery although it must have ligated already and chances of being if broken again is less but you still needs evaluated and get treated accordingly..
In case if it bleeds again you should pinch the soft part of nose just above the nostrils and bend forwards and breathe through mouth for ten minutes..
But in case if bleeding is heavy you should not delay and consult a physician..
Hope this information helps..
