Could Splitting Area In Vulva With Calluses After Having Sex Along With Partner S Penile Area With Callus Be Coincidence?

My husband had an ingrown hair at the base of his penis several weeks ago, which bled when he removed it. I have an area of my vulva that splits every time we have sex. Both locations are now built up like calluses. No itching or burning, and we ve been monogamous for over a decade with no similar symptoms ever. Is it just a coincidence that we both have this issue at the same time?
