Could Numbness In Arms And Hands Be Due To Low Iron Level?

I am a 33 yr old female in otherwise good health. Have low ferretin count (7?). Arms and hands fall asleep at night, even when I m not sleeping on them. It wakes me up and I have the pins and needles feeling. Could thins be due to low iron? Anxiety? Something worse?

Hello,

As you have this numbness and tingling I think this won't be due to low ferritin count. This could be never entrapment in the cervical spine and need a clinical examination and a diagnostic test of MRI be done. Using a soft cervical collar and hot water fermentation should help reduce the pain. Doing static neck exercises and upper limb exercises once pain reduces will help regain good outcome score.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
