Could Itching And Redness In Penis Be Due To Yeast Infection?

hi i just got off my period about 3 days ago. i had sex with my boyfriend, now the head of his penis itches and it is red- irritated... i think i have a yeast infection, is it possible that the symptoms that he have is due to a yeast in men or is it more serious?

Thank you for query.It may be due to fungal infection.Please take following precautions.both of Use loose cotton clothes.Keep area dry.Apply antifungals like clotirimazole lotions.clean the area twice daily with warm water.Treatment of both partners is important to prevent recurrence.Both can take oral antifungals like flucanazole 150 mg twice daily consult doctor if does not subside.Condom can be used .You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist.
