Could Headaches, Nausea And Breast Tenderness Denote Pregnancy In Spite Of Taking Postinor?
Hi I took postinor 1500mg one tablet within 72hrs of unprotected sex but I am having severe side effects almost like symtops of pregnancy breast tenderness, headaches, nausea. I did a pregnancy blood test which came back negative! So could I still be pregnant or is it such the effects of the pill
If you have taken the pill within 72 hours then the chance of pregnancy is negligible. In case of pregnancy, a urine test will come positive only 3 weeks after the episode of unprotected sex and a blood test will come positive after 12-14 days after the episode. So please check if the test was taken earlier than that.
The symptoms that you suggest occur in pregnancy as well as due to the pill. As of now, they seem to be more likely due to the pill. They will disappear once the period comes.
So just check about the timing of the test. If it was done after the expected time and was negative then, pregnancy is unlikely and the symptoms are due to the pill.
