Could Follicular Cyst In Ovary Cause Problems In Conceiving?
Hi Samuel I would like to have a child. This is my recent ultrasound result. What are my chances? Clinical Details: Follow-up right ovarian cyst. Technique: Transabdominal and transvaginal scans performed. LMP two weeks ago. Findings: The uterus measured 76 x 36 x 44mm, anteverted, homogeneous myometrium apart from a 6mm posterior intramural fibroid. Normal endometrial thickness 3mm, regular. The right ovary had a volume of 4cc with a unilocular cyst measuring 21mm diameter. If this is the same cyst as previously demonstrated, it is certainly smaller. The left ovary was enlarged at 18cc with a 25 x 26 x 25mm cyst with some internal septation but no increased vascularity. This is probably still just a follicular cyst. Further ultrasound follow-up could be done to confirm complete resolution of the cyst on the right and this new cyst on the left. Thank you so much Suze

Hi,
Follicular cyst is where the eggs develop! It is good to see those if you are trying to get pregnant. You need to time your intercourse during the time of ovulation- 2 weeks after your period starts. Day 1 is the days you start your period, have sex day 10,12,14,16,18,20- this gives a constant supply of sperm there around ovulation time.
You can get an ovulation test or look up basal body temperature on line to check for ovulation with checking your body temperature. Your vaginal discharge will usually be like egg whites when you are ovulating (only time each month your body wants to let something in the d/c gets thinner).
If you have been trying for more than 12 months you should see a doctor for an infertility w/up. If you are over 35 years old 6 months no pregnancy you should have a work up.
