Constant Neck Pain, Large Painless Lumps In Neck, Daily Headaches. Recovered From Breast Cancer. What Is This ?

I have been having neck pain for months. About 2 weeks ago I starting having headaches daily which is usual for me. After massaging my neck I felt a large painless lump possibly more than one. I am constantly anemic and very fatigued. I have hot flashes at night as well. I am 45 year old female with stage 3 breast cancer 5 years ago.

Hi thanks for your question.
One very important point in history you have not mentioned is postion of lumps in neck,in front of neck, back of neck or on lateral side of neck.If these lumps are in the anterior or lateral part of neck, possibility of these being enlarged cervical lymph nodes is high..Nonspscific infection of throat can cause enlargement of cervical lymph node.Tuberculosis or malignancy of lymph node that is lyphoma is another possibility.Malignancy or tuberculosis can cause anaemia and anaemia can give rise to headache and fatigue. If theses lumps are in posterior part of neck, lymph node and lipoma are possibilities.Consult a general surgeon who may examine you to determine what exactly these lumps are.He may advice you FNAC of theses lumps along with many more tests.
Hope this answers your question.
