Child Having Stomach Pain. Prescribed Lactulose, Laxibairal, Docusate. No Relief, Also Has Fever. Suggestions?

Hi my 8 year old daughter has had stomach pain for 3 months now complaining every day it is sore our GP gave us lactulose and laxibairal to no avail ,I took her back and he put her on Docusate 12.5mg 3 times a day for 1 month she is still complaining and also gets high temp of up to 39.4 don t know what else to do at my wits end

Hi

You have not mentioned about the site of abdominal pain.
Definitely a fever of 39.4`F is not normal.
Urinary tract infection should be ruled out.
I would suggest that basic work up might be done like- Complete blood count and Urine microscopy.
If pus cells are higher, a culture would be warranted.
