Child Has Pimples On Buttocks. Used Lavender Oil. Worsened By Scratching

My 2.5 year old has been having bumps/ pimples on her buttocks for 3 weeks now, I have been treating them with lavender oil with success but they keep comiing back and lately she has been scratching them. After inspecting them this morning because she was scratching them incessantly, I noticed that they were on her outer vaginal labia too. they appear to be worsened by scratching or rubbing.

Pediatrician, Surgery 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for your query
The pimples or rashes may be allergic in nature. Try changing whatever she wears as underpants. Avoid diapers for a while. Try applying some talc to reduce the itching. Consult a pediatrician. If it is a nappy rash then certain ointments are available in the market which may help her. If you don't use diapers try changing material of her lowers. Prefer cotton. It is least allergenic to the skin. But at times pyoderma may present like this. A pediatrician will tell you that. In that case your child may need a course of antibiotics. Hope that helps
God bless you
