Child Has Lump Near Armpit, Fatty Lump. Treatment?
Hi my 6 year old daughter has a small lump on her right side, bit further down from her arm pit, sort of at the top of rib cage, hospital said it was a fatty lump and to just keep checking it doesn t grow. Well last night we discovered it has grown possibly double in size and has another the same side underneath! We are taking her back to the clinic tomorrow have you an idea of what they could be though and how they will treat them? Thanks a lot

since you are taking your child hospital where they will do some tests to find out the cause.
causes of lump could be infection.accumulation of fatty tissue any cyst,
any other associated finding like fever.pain in lump,and systemic involvement needs to be kept in mind.
Your daughter will be fine.

By the description it would be either a lipoma or dermoid cyst, either of them will require surgical removal.
