Child Has Low Grade Glioma In Mid Brain Stem. Following Ayurvedic Treatment. Any Other Treatment?
sir,
I am from india, i have a daughter who is 6 yrs old, she is suffering from low grade glioma in mid brain stem.would like to know if any treatment can be done for the same.as of now we have been following ayurveda treatment for her for the past two years.her present condition is in balance in walking and entangling of her leg .until last month she was walking slowly, presently her movements have slowed down.her speach too is slowed down.she is tired too.
kindly advice me on this

The treatment and prognosis of the low grade glioma in midbrain will depend on the location and size of the tumor and if it is exhibiting a mass effect on the other brain matter.
As far as the prognosis is concerned a childhood glioma has a better prognosis than the adult one.The slow onset of difficulty in speech and walking suggest towards mass effect or slowly developing Hydrocephalous which might need relief by a shunt.
I would suggest you to get in touch with a neurosurgeon who might be able to guide you and suggest surgical possibility .
