Child Has Congested Cough, Runny Nose And Watery Eyes. Had Fever And Upset Stomach. Advice?

Hi,
I have a 4 year old son who was sent home from school 5 days ago due to fever, headache, and upset stomach. He never got sick, but his fever reached 102.7, he was sweaty but cold, achy and fatigued. We gave Ibuprofin and all was well. We kept him home from school the next day just to be safe. Today though, he has an extremely congested cough, runny nose and watery eyes. Should this be something I have his pediatrician check out, or is it a seasonal thing that will pass soon? I worry about bronchitis or pneumonia, with him being in a school setting for the first time, I don't want to risk his health or health of others.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
The child seems having an viral illness with features of upper respiratory tract infection with diarrhea.
Give paracetamol for fever.
Give sips of oral rehydration solutions to maintain hydration.
Consult the pediatrician for the physical examination including lungs to rule out pneumonia and bronchitis.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
