Child Diagnosed With Asthma. On Breathing Treatment. Has Diarrhea And Vomiting. Suggestions?
Hi my name is Annie. My daughter had been sick with a flu a few ago and a few days ago she had a fever I took her to her doctor they think she has asthma . Gave me a breathing treatment. Today she has diarrhoea more than 5times yellow and smells bad and vomited twice what is it and what should I do she s refusing to eat all day
Hi Annie,
Thank you for your query,
Your child is having gastroenteritis which may be due to a virus or a bacteria.
For vomitings you can give an antiemetic like ondansetron in prescribed dosage.
Give sips of oral rehydration solutions like Pedialyte, coconut water, and lemon water to prevent dehydration.
Monitor her hydration by urine output, skin turgor, and tongue moisture.
Consult your Pediatrician for the assessment and further treatment.
Hope I have answered your query.
