Child. Extremely Painful Lump On Back Below Shoulder Blade, Constipation, On And Off Fever. History Of Croupe And Strep Throat. Suggest

My 15 month old son is suffering from constipation, fever off and on and has a lump the size of a golf ball on his back on his right side just below his shoulder blade. He has been in and out of hospital for fevers and had croupe as well as strep throat. I just noticed the bump and it apears be extremely painful for him because you can barely touch his back without him crying

Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
It seems that your son is having forming abscess giving rise to painful tender lump.
As he had throat infection, this seems to be systemic infection.
Consult your doctor as soon as possible and start the treatment.
If pus is formed then it is to be operated upon.
Your doctor will start antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine lump will be subsided.
give enough water.
Ok and bye.
