Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

Your muscle pain could be due to muscle stretch due to continuous coughing.
You can take muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone to reduce pain along with pain killer.
You can continue your antibiotic, Get done your sputum culture and sensitivity test done, take antibiotic based on sensitivity testing.
Salt water gargling and steam inhalation gives symptomatic relief to some extent.

Hope I answered your question. Consult your doctor for further examination and management.
Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Hi,
After antibiotic medicine course and chest infection clears, cough remains for few days more.
Take cough suppressant syrup 2-3 times a day for few days.
This will suppress cough bouts and so will give some relief from muscle pain.
Ok and take care.
