Can Thyroid Problem Cause Infertility?

I recently had blood work done and my thyroid is borderline and estrogen and progesterone levels are normal but I've had fibroids for a few years now. Can a thyroid problem be the reason I have fibroids since both my estrogen levels and progesterone levels are normal. Fibroids do run in my family it may be genetics as well. My doctor is sending me for more extensive thyroid testing and ultrasound. I'm always tired, stressed have anxiety and can never concentrate for long periods of time which is affecting my work production. I'm so stressed about doing a task that it never gets done because I spend all the time worrying about the task instead of simply doing the task. Do you have any advice? Does a thryroid problem cause infertility?

Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM! I can understand your concern.
Yes, thyroid problems (both hypo and hyperthyroidism) can cause infertility.
To rule out thyroid as a cause of infertility you need to check :
-TSH, FT4 and FT3 level.
TSH should be under 2.5 mUi/ml in order to get pregnant.
