Can The Fungal Infection In The Ears Can Be Cleared After Giving Anasthesia?

my wife has fungal infection in both ears. removing the same is causing terrible pain. could you pls suggest whether the fungal infection can be cleared after giving local anesthesia? My other doubt is that whether she need to consult the doctor empty stomach for the above treatment with local anesthesia?

Hi,
It seems that there might be having heavy deposition of fungus in external ear.
It might be painful removing fungus without doing local part numb.
So doctor might have advised scrapping of fungus under local anesthesia.
There is no need of having empty stomach while local anesthesia.
