Hi,
Menstruation depends upon conception it has no relationship with protected or unprotected sex. Followig coitus sperm n ovum forms zygote and within 5-7days gets implanted in uterus. If this does not occurs then hormonal support does not occurs and changes occurs in uterus as interim wall slogs off leading to mentruation so that it shows be ready for fertilization next cycle .
So in case if someone not getting menses at schedule time following unprotected sex then wait for 15 days (as late menses is normal) if still no menses go for UPT test for confirmation .

Thanks n regards

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Protected sex doesn't cause delay in periods. There is no reason to happen so.
Regards.
