Can Paint Fume Inhalation/teeth Cleaning Be Correlated With High BP And Palpitation?

Can inhaling interior Paint Fumes and an appointment to the Dentist for a Teeth Cleaning cause High Blood Pressure and Heart Palpitations? My Nephew got his Apartment Painted on Monday, and The following Thursday He got his Teeth Cleaned. He is now in the Hospital with BP 150 / 120 and Heart Rate close to 180 beats per Minute.

I am so sorry to hear about this high BP and the rapid heart rate. This is not caused by paint fumes inhalation or a visit to the dentist. Yes, some stress, anxiety, etc can cause an increase in heart rate but levels of 180 are clearly not possible. I will suggest that he gets his heart evaluated with a base line ECG and more investigations planned according to the initial findings. Ultimately, he would need the services of a heart specialist to help decipher what the possible origin and cause of this is.
