Can Increased Dosage Of Losartan Cause Fatigue?

I was taking 25 mgs losartan and 10 mgs. Amlodipine but after a couple of years blood pressure became elevated and doctor prescribed 50 mg. Losartan. However, after one week of increased losartan I have extreme fatigue and blood pressure has not come down. Could the fatigue be caused by the increased losartan?

Losartan is an angiotensin II antagonists and a very good drug in hypertension cases.
The most important side effects of this drug are, headache, back pain , myalgia , ASTHENIA/FATIGUE ,hyperkalaemia.
These side effects are few but in your case fatigue may a side effect of this drug.
However amlopidine also causes asthenia and muscle cramps .
As you mentioned that still BLOOD PRESSURE is not under control in spite of dual drugs.
In my opinion this is a cause of concern so consult one more cardiologist and get his opinion because prolong use of anti hypertensive drugs develops many side effects.
If proper cause of hypertension is not cured may develop ( turn ) serious CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE.
