Hi My son has grommets he was leaking pus out of the right ear yesterday so I took him to the doctor. He had an ear infection and we have started antibiotics it has been 24 hours they are still leaking pus however it had got thicker and looks like there is now blood mixed in with it. ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi thank you for using healthcare magic,
I can understand your concern.
It is okay if the ear infection doesnot respond immediately it might take 2-3 days.
If you are still worried get the pus culture and antibiotic sensitivity, then use the antibiotic for which the organism is sensitive to.This will take 48 hrs.
In the mean time use the antibiotic which your doctor suggested.
hope you are helped.
